My Grade 1 teacher was a horticulturist. She was the one who first inspired me. We lived on a farm, I made daisy chains, and just fell in love with flowers. That was almost 50 years ago. Now I run this shop with five wonderful people who feel more like family than employees (one actually is my niece!)

When you walk through our door, you’re most likely having a big moment, you're celebrating a wedding, welcoming a baby, or honoring someone special. After 50 years, I've been part of so many of your families' stories. I’ve watched romances bloom into marriages and held customers' hands through difficult times, this is what flowers are all about.

I'm always up for a creative challenge. Someone once asked if I could make a Winnie the Pooh head entirely from flowers, absolutely! (Would've taken two days, but what a fun project.) A bride lost all her wedding photos with her bouquet when the photographer's camera failed, we recreated it months later with peach roses so she could get those precious shots. Made her whole day.

One of my most meaningful pieces took 30 hours. One of my team members lost her son, and I created an intricate owl for his service, complete with real feathers. Even found a filbert nut for the beak, the perfect detail that only we knew about. Those personal touches matter.

We're here when you need us. A customer came in 10 minutes before closing needing an arrangement, we stayed an extra hour to make it perfect. Someone called needing a wedding bouquet with two hours’ notice, we made it happen. My driver will come back for late deliveries because some moments can't wait.

Our team has been together so long we've discovered funny connections, one team member’s cousin is married to my cousin's brother! Small world. That team member’s other cousin does dog sledding up in Sioux Lookout and races in Alaska. His dogs had eight puppies last year and named them all after types of flowers. That's the kind of flower-loving people we are.
